Podiatry Consultation
During your consultation, your podiatrist will examine your feet and discuss your pain and discomfort in order to reach a diagnosis and treatment plan. Treatment will be carried out during this appointment. Skin and nail care will be carried out, including thickened toenails, callus, corns, cracked heels and hard skin removal.

Initial consultation is €100 euro. Fungal nail follow ups €70.
Fungal Nail Infection
Fungal nails may appear discoloured/or thickened. Fungal nail treatment begins with precise mechanical debridement of the affected nail using state-of-the-art podiatric instrument to meticulously thin the nail plate and remove as much of the infected tissue as possible. This controlled reduction of nail thickness enhances the permeability of anti-fungal agents, into the nail bed thus improving treatment efficacy. Following debridement, a pharmaceutical-grade topical antifungal agent is applied, formulated to penetrate deeply into the nail matrix and bed, targeting the fungal pathogens at the source. This method helps reduce fungal infection and also promotes healthier nail regrowth with minimal discomfort. Treatment may take up to a year depending on the degree of infection, as a nail takes approximately 12 months to grow. Follow ups are required every 6 weeks. Results are dependent on following aftercare guidelines.

Foot Health Assessment
Foot problems can affect anyone, posing risks like infections, calluses, corns, and nerve damage (neuropathy), which can impact movement and sensation. Regular foot health assessments are essential, particularly for those with lifestyle factors or medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, and rheumatoid arthritis. During an appointment, a podiatrist will conduct a thorough examination of the skin, nails, and any concerns. They will perform a neuropathy test to assess foot sensation and vascular testing using Doppler ultrasound and Ankle Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI) tests to evaluate circulation. Results will be discussed with you and possibly shared with your GP. Based on these findings, a personalized long-term care plan will be created to manage issues and promote ongoing foot health.

Biomechanical Gait Assessment for Foot & Ankle Injuries
This appointment is for individuals with persistent pain or injury from walking or running, but visits are also welcome for concerns like bunions or hammer toes, or to improve posture and prevent injuries. The podiatrist will perform a comprehensive gait and biomechanical assessment, examining the pelvis, hips, knees, ankles, feet, and sometimes the spine, along with evaluating muscle flexibility, strength, and joint range of motion. Based on this assessment and your medical history, a personalized treatment plan will be created, which may include orthotics, an exercise program, footwear recommendations, or referrals for further imaging. Common issues addressed include bunions, heel pain, flat feet, and knee pain. This thorough approach targets both symptoms and underlying causes to enhance foot health and mobility.

€95 for 45 minutes. Verruca Treatment follow ups €70.
General Verruca Treatment
The initial treatment will include a comprehensive evaluation of the verruca, considering its duration, size, and overall condition. Following this, a topical solution will be applied directly to the verruca. Since verrucas are caused by a viral infection, we will also offer guidance on strengthening your immune system to improve your body’s ability to combat the virus. After the treatment, the foot will be dressed, and it is essential to keep the area dry for the next 24 hours. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled within 7-14 days to assess the verruca and monitor treatment progress. Please note that treating verrucae requires time and persistence, and patience is key to achieving successful results.

Verruca Treatment Swift Microwave Therapy
Warts and Verruca are caused by a strain of the human papilloma virus. They can be painful and cause cosmetic distress to people. New state of the art treatment is available. SWIFT - treats warts and verruca using microwaves providing heat to kill the virus. In the past verruca and warts were treated using freezing techniques, which are only mildly effective. Verruca and warts lie up to 8mm below the surface of the skin, and Swift microwave penetrates up to 10mm below the surface of the skin, ensuring full depth treatment. The protocol for Swift treatment is 3 treatments, 4-weeks apart and a follow up appointment 12-weeks after the final treatment.
